I was so hyped for the announcement of the new Mass Effect game (as well as the Legendary Editon coming out this year!) that I decided to take a break from a bigger (yet unpublished) project I've been developing for the past couple of months to do something space-related - and I came out with a Planet Generator inside Substance Designer. The intended usage for this would be generating all the various planet textures needed for the Galaxy Map, so the system needed to generate both Gas Giants-like planets (that have their own generator) and the various types of terrestrial planets. The atmosphere is also handled as a separate substance graph to improve flexibility. As per usual, all planets were generated with Substance Designer and rendered in Marmoset (with a final touch of GIMP to add lens flares)
